Description
For extraoral use in the laboratory dental area
SCANTIST 3D Vanishing Spray is an extraoral scan spray for use in the dental field, which is used to optimise the scanning quality for CAD / CAM, camera/video recordings, structured light scans, blue light scans, etc.
Coating with the Vanishing Spray improves the optical properties of tooth models, plaster casts, preparations, wax-ups, individual stumps and impressions.
Very fine homogeneous coating
The Dental Scan Spray forms a homogeneous and very fine matting layer on the object. This prevents reflections and reflections and the object can be scanned exactly. Subtleties in geometry and surface are not affected and can be visualized true to the original.
Thanks to a special valve with a fine nozzle, the spray can be applied precisely and efficiently, even to the smallest of parts.
No subsequent cleaning of the models required
SCANTIST 3D Vanishing Spray contains no pigments and therefore no harmful titanium dioxide (TiO2). The coating evaporates (sublimates) automatically after use and there is no need for time-consuming cleaning of the objects and the laboratory environment after the scan. This means enormous time and cost savings for the user and protection against damage to the scanning equipment.
Application of SCANTIST 3D Vanishing Spray
1. Application → Apply the spray evenly from a distance of 5-10 cm. Spray the entire surface to be scanned.
SCANTIST 3D Spray is applied wet. The solvent vaporises within a few seconds while the active substance remains as a coating on the surface.
If drops form on the scan object, or if the applied matting stays "wet" for a longer time, increase the spray distance or increase the spray speed. The ideal ambient temperature is 21 °C / 69.8 °F.
2. Scanning → Once the spray has dried completely, your model can be scanned.
3. Waiting → The applied layer of vanishing spray evaporates automatically after the scanning process. The otherwise time-consuming removal of the coating after use is no longer necessary.
