How do I choose the right nozzle for me?

Both the GammaMaster FIN and the CHT FIN nozzles have the same outer geometry and bore diameter.

  • The GammaMaster FIN nozzle is made of a hardened, thermally highly efficient alloy. Its surface is coated with the Low-Gamma coating and offers excellent resistance to abrasive materials.

  • The CHT FIN nozzle is made of copper and features the patented CHT inlet pattern. The CHT nozzle has a nickel-based coating and ensures excellent protection against corrosion, erosion and abrasion.

Tip: Slice Engineering recommends the CHT FIN nozzles for printing non-abrasive materials where the maximum volume flow is to be achieved. The GammaMaster FIN nozzles, on the other hand, are recommended for high-flow printing with flexible and abrasive materials.


Robust and durable construction

The hotend is made of high-quality materials such as high-strength copper alloy, aerospace-grade aluminium and hardened steels to ensure efficiency and reliability. Slice Engineering's patented "roll cage" structure securely connects the heat sink to the heat block, protecting the sensitive heat break from damage. This innovative design also allows for easy nozzle changes with just one hand.

Outstanding thermal performance

The Mako Hotend uses advanced bimetal heat break technology, which minimises heat transfer and reduces blockages. This means you can achieve excellent performance even with demanding materials such as nylon (PA), polycarbonate (PC) or TPU. The combination of copper heat block and aluminium heat sink ensures optimal heat dissipation and delivers particularly consistent, reliable printing results. With the Mako upgrade, you can ensure consistent quality with every printing process.

Optimised high-flow performance

Thanks to a special flow diffuser in the heater block, the Mako Hotend guarantees a smooth and stable material flow. This design promotes a laminar flow and reduces internal turbulence, achieving higher extrusion efficiency. The results are impressively precise prints - every time.

Easy nozzle change

Thanks to the sturdy roll cage design of the Mako hotend, changing nozzles is particularly quick and easy - without having to remove the entire hotend. This saves you time and allows you to continue printing seamlessly.

FIN nozzle included

The Mako Hotend uses the new FIN (Free and open-source Insulated Nozzle) standard. With a 6 mm hexagon for easy replacement, this standard offers an innovative nozzle shape that interacts optimally with the silicone cover. This means the hotend is completely insulated and protected from cold air and plastic. Bondtech has adapted the FIN standard and offers high-performance CHT nozzles in this new format. Upgrade to the FIN nozzle standard and benefit from additional protection and improved performance in your 3D printing projects.
