Description
EasyFil™ HIPS is an impact-resistant polystyrene with a beautiful matt finish. Compared to “normal” HIPS, the material is slightly more flexible and softer and has excellent thermal stability. The material is very light and can be bonded with a variety of adhesives.
Polystyrene is resistant to acids and bases. Due to these properties, the material is one of the most frequently used thermoplastics in the world and is used e.g. in the food packaging industry.
3D objects printed with EasyFil™ HIPS have excellent properties. They can be sanded, primed and painted. To obtain a truly smooth and shiny surface, the printed parts can be treated with acetone vapour.

Good breakaway support, need to purge a lot though

I use a Bambu with AMS and to get the support to break away from ABS properly I needed to purge a lot of filament otherwise it stuck too well to the ABS and delaminated from other HIPS layers. I chose blue as I don't print anything in blue, so I can see clearly what is support and what is not.
