No more incense needed!
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
I have used several different brands of wood filament and found this to be my favourite to print!
Its a little on the pricey side but it really has an excellent appearance when you want a real wood like finish. It's great for model work and everyone's favourite "I am Groot" prints!
Even the most experienced will have stringing with this filament, it's just unavoidable. However, don't think this is like petG stringing or anything that you would be used to before it is super easy to remove and doesn't leave zits where it has strung across, its like that really fine spider web type stinging that is super easy to remove and leaves almost no trace once you have rubbed the surface over with your fingers.
Oh man, and this stuff just smells out of this world whilst printing, like having sandal wood or rosewood innocence burning in the room!
I just wish all filament smelt this good!
Absolute must to print a temp tower for this filament!
I found 170c is good for bridging but way too low for regular printing as you get under extrusion and delamination.
Printing between 178c-190c gives best finish with minimal stringing.
That's with ambient room temp between 20-22c.
This is a brittle filament, no good for structural parts though!
So here is the bottom line, do you really need a larger than .4 nozzle to print... No, no you don't, honest, i swear to you! (but wait, just hear me out there is a bit of a catch!)
If you are running a geared / dual drive / high torque extruder you will be able to print with a standard .4mm nozzle with little to no worries!
It doesn't clog up like a badly fitted bowden tube or an all metal hotend running too slow.
It really is just a case of having the torque to keep it moving after a retraction! I run .4mm nozzle with the same retraction settings as PLA without issue on a CR6-SE that has had no more than the stock extruder replaced with a BMG extruder!
Yes, it is 'recommended' to use at least a .5mm nozzle though for ease of printing in almost all printers!
Even with a larger nozzle i would still recommend running with higher print speeds and faster acceleration or jerk settings than the conservative defaults! Was this rating helpful? (1) (0)

Wood Fill
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
Great finish, surprisingly strong once printed but a little delicate when in filament form. Less stringing than expected but still a great material to work with.

Really Good Finish! Make sure you have a nozzle bigger than 0.4
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
It's taken me a while to get round to testing this properly as I needed to made a 0.6mm nozzle for my printer rather than the 0.4mm I normally Use. IT will simply clog 0.4mm nozzle, yes I tried it and it clogged it really badly. Fillamentum and 3d Jake both say to use a 0.5mm nozzle or bigger so no issues there.
Once I added a 0.6mm nozzle it was no problem at all! Amazing print and finish. Great rosewood colour and also sands really well! I just printed a nice dice box I designed and I'm happy with the first print really high quality. I printed at 170 degress C, 0.6mm nozzle, 0.2mm layers, glass bed at room temp with glue stick film and no issues at all!
If this printed with a standard 0.4mm nozzle I would have given 5 stars. Great Stuff!
