Description
eSUN ePLA-LW is specially designed for model aircraft. The interlayer adhesion is stable, and the foaming speed and strength can be controlled by adjusting the printing temperature. Through active foaming technology to produce lightweight low-density PLA parts, the foam volume ratio is 220% and the density is only 0.54g/cm3. Foaming makes the layer pattern almost invisible and the surface of the model is matt and fine. Under the same model and speed, the lightweight PLA enables the model aircraft to have lower wing loading and lower stall speed, which can greatly improve the performance of the model aircraft.

Note: Please make sure to print the first layer at the same speed as the rest of the model.
Since most Teflon printers should not be operated above 250 °C for long periods of time, always pay attention to the maximum operating temperature of your 3D printer, as long-term printing above this temperature can lead to blockages.
Yellowing of printed parts after high-temperature foaming is a normal phenomenon. Reducing the printing temperature can help.
Since the ePLA-LW continuously foams in the melting chamber of the high-temperature nozzle, retraction basically does not work. Stringing can therefore occur. It is recommended to print the RC models in vase mode to reduce the effect of stringing.
The foaming ratio of the material depends on the temperature, printing speed and the size of the melt cavity of the nozzle. Be sure to compare the wall thickness of the model design according to your own printing situation and adjust the extrusion rate, temperature, speed and other parameters.
