With the Automatic Material System AMS from Bambu Lab, your 3D printing will be more colourful, smarter and worry-free than ever before! Up to 16 colours, automatic material recognition and clever features ensure that you can concentrate fully on your ideas!
Up to 16 colours!
Each AMS module offers space for four filament rolls. With up to four modules connected in parallel, you can add up to 16 colours to your project!
Note: If you want to integrate multiple AMS systems, you will need the AMS Hub, which can be purchased separately.

Print stop due to empty spool, ruined model? Not with Bambu Lab AMS!
AMS switches to the next spool fully automatically when the filament runs out. This keeps your printing process running smoothly, without interruption and without unnecessary loss of material. Ideal for long print jobs, even overnight!
Intelligent filament monitoring
Thanks to an integrated 32-bit microcontroller, clever sensors and a smart algorithm, the AMS immediately recognises if the filament is tangled or the spool stops running. It stops printing in good time and prevents expensive misprints.
Moisture is the enemy of your perfect print...
... but thanks to an airtight seal and desiccant, AMS keeps your filament reliably dry. An integrated moisture sensor informs you when it's time to replace the desiccant! Practical and smart!
Automatic material recognition via RFID
The RFID tags on Bambu Lab filaments are automatically read by the AMS. This means your printer always knows exactly which material is loaded and sets the optimum parameters - without you having to intervene manually.
